Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information MP Machine Tooling Ltd collects when you use this website or deal with us, why we use it, and the choices you have.

Last updated: 6 November 2026.

Who we are

MP Machine Tooling Ltd is the controller of your personal information. We are registered in England and Wales, company no. 17556608. Registered office: Unit 3 Scandinavia Court, Chain Bar Road, Cleckheaton, BD19 3QW.

For anything about your personal information, email sales@mpmt.co.uk, call 01274 070066 or write to us at the address above.

What we collect

  • What you send us. When you request a quote, ask about a repair, send a tooling package or dealer request, or contact us, we collect your name, company, email address and phone number, and what you tell us: your machine (builder, model, serial number, turret and stations), the tools and quantities on your quote list, part numbers, timescales and your message.
  • When you buy from us. Account, order, delivery and invoice details, and records of what you have bought, returned or sent in for repair.
  • When you call or email us. A record of the conversation and any details you give us.
  • From other sources. Business contact details from public sources such as company websites and trade directories, and from manufacturers or dealers who pass an enquiry to us to answer.
  • Technical information. When you send a form we record your IP address and a session identifier, to stop spam and abuse. Our servers keep standard logs of the pages requested, and if a page fails to work your browser sends us a technical error report. If you reach the site from a link in one of our emails, the link tells us which email you clicked and we connect that to your visit. If you accept analytics cookies, we also record how you use the site (see Cookies below).

We don't take payment card details on this website.

How we use it

  • To answer your enquiry and prepare a quote, because you asked us to and so that we can take steps before entering into a contract with you.
  • To supply products and services, including delivery, repairs and warranty claims, to perform our contract with you.
  • To keep accounting and tax records, to meet our legal obligations.
  • To tell you about products and services relevant to your business by email or phone, in our legitimate interest in growing our business. Every marketing email lets you opt out, and you can tell us to stop at any time. If you are a sole trader or a partnership, we only email you marketing if you have bought from us or asked us for a quote, or you have agreed to it.
  • To keep this website secure and working, prevent spam and fraud, and improve our service, in our legitimate interests.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't make decisions that significantly affect you by automated means alone.

Who we share it with

  • Companies in our group that provide sales, purchasing and administrative support to us.
  • Service providers who act on our instructions: website and system hosting (Amazon Web Services), email (Microsoft 365), and software and AI services that help us sort enquiries and draft replies.
  • The manufacturers we represent, such as Mario Pinto, Hainbuch and Madaula, where we need to in order to quote, supply, repair or handle a warranty claim.
  • Couriers delivering your order.
  • Our professional advisers, and the police, HMRC or other authorities where the law requires it.

Where it is held

Our website and business systems are hosted in the UK. Some of our service providers, and the manufacturers we represent, are in the European Economic Area or further afield. Transfers to the EEA are covered by UK adequacy regulations. For any other country we use the safeguards UK law requires, such as the International Data Transfer Agreement.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries and quotes that don't lead to an order: 3 years from our last contact with you.
  • Customer, order and invoice records: 6 years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as tax law requires.
  • Marketing: until you opt out. After that we keep only what we need to make sure we don't contact you again.
  • Server logs and error reports: no more than 12 months.
  • Analytics: pointer movements 30 days and individual clicks 90 days. Page-view summaries are kept for as long as they help us compare how the site performs over time.

Cookies and storage on your device

This website doesn't use advertising cookies. It always sets these, because it needs them to work:

  • id_app: a random session identifier that links your visit to any request you send, so we can stop spam, and, if you accept analytics, links the pages you view in one visit. It lasts one year.
  • __Host-authjs.csrf-token and __Secure-authjs.callback-url: security cookies set by our sign-in software. They are deleted when you close your browser.
  • Your quote list and your list or grid view are saved in your browser's local storage, so they are still there when you come back. Your quote list reaches us only when you send your request.

Because the site needs these to work, we don't ask for consent to them.

Optional analytics. On your first visit a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. If you click Accept, our own analytics records how you use the site so we can improve it: the pages you view, where you click, how far you scroll, how your pointer moves over a page, how quickly pages load, what you search for, and which form fields you use (never what you type in them). This stays on our own systems and is not shared with advertisers. If you click Decline, none of it is recorded. Either way, an analytics_consent cookie remembers your choice for one year. To change your mind, clear this site's cookies in your browser and choose again.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your personal information, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to limit how we use it, object to our using it (including for marketing, which we will always stop), and ask for a copy in a format you can pass to someone else. There is normally no charge, and we will reply within one month. Contact us using the details above.

Security

This website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to our systems is limited to the staff who need it.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
